Check out what the students in Mrs. VandenBush's classroom are doing in art! Some of th lesson ideas I come up with, but many of these ideas come from other wonderful art teachers!
My 5th graders studied abstract art and focused on Kandinsky. I used watered down black tempera paint and eye droppers-kids squeezed the black all over. We talked about how you really can't make a mistake with abstract art! Then next class they went with sharpie and added patterns/lines/shapes. Then they added oil crayon. Finally they overlapped with water color!
Love these! Medium? Any directions or artists studied?
