5th Grade - Coil Pots

5th Grade - Rhythm and Art

The 5th grade students looked at many different examples of Abstract Art. We had a school wide collaboration around Rhythm. So we talked what rhythm is and how an artist creates rhythm in a piece of art. Students were able to create their own abstract painting creating rhythm with paint and oil crayons.

5th Grade - Picasso Portraits

The 5th graders learned about the artist Pablo Picasso and his cubism style of art. We went to the computer lab for one class and the students were shown how to use the website mrpicassohead.com
Through this website students were able to create an abstract portrait. The crazier they look the better!
